<p>We are looking for an experienced HR Director to join our client's team on a <strong>contract basis</strong> in <strong>Salem, Oregon</strong>. This role requires a forward-thinking individual who can assess and modernize HR operations, strengthen team dynamics, and ensure organizational compliance. As part of a mission-driven nonprofit, you will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with the organization's goals.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Evaluate the current HR department structure and identify areas for improvement.</p><p>• Conduct risk assessments to address potential challenges and opportunities within the workforce.</p><p>• Oversee employee relations to foster a positive and productive work environment.</p><p>• Manage benefit programs and ensure they align with employee needs and organizational objectives.</p><p>• Develop and implement HR policies to maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards.</p><p>• Lead recruitment and hiring efforts to attract and retain top talent.</p><p>• Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team on HR-related matters.</p><p>• Assess team performance and implement strategies for skill development and growth.</p><p>• Monitor compensation practices to ensure equity and competitiveness.</p><p>• Collaborate with management to align HR initiatives with the nonprofit's mission and business goals.</p>

• Proven experience in HR management or leadership roles.<br>• Expertise in employee relations and fostering strong workplace culture.<br>• Comprehensive knowledge of benefits administration and compensation strategies.<br>• Familiarity with HR compliance and legal regulations.<br>• Strong ability to assess team dynamics and implement effective solutions.<br>• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.<br>• Confidence and initiative to drive HR improvements independently.<br>• Previous experience in nonprofit organizations is a plus.
