Procurement Analyst
We are looking for a Procurement Analyst to join our team in Rockville, Maryland. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to manage and enhance procurement operations, ensuring efficient processes and strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating the acquisition of parts and materials while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Source and procure machined parts, weldments, and 3D printed components, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.<br>• Collaborate with procurement team members to assign tasks and optimize workflows.<br>• Coordinate shipping logistics for procured items to the company's headquarters.<br>• Manage purchase order requests, supplier documentation, quotes, schedules, and other procurement-related records.<br>• Oversee the inspection and acceptance or rejection of delivered parts, maintaining quality standards.<br>• Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with both current and potential suppliers.<br>• Address and resolve part discrepancies by coordinating replacements or returns with suppliers.<br>• Update and maintain procurement and operational documentation to ensure accuracy and accessibility.<br>• Research and negotiate terms, pricing, and lead times with new suppliers to align with company goals and forecasts.<br>• Monitor contracted suppliers, identifying opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance collaboration.
• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with training available for the right candidate.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for managing procurement data and reports.<br>• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.<br>• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and prioritize responsibilities.<br>• Negotiation expertise and relationship-building capabilities with suppliers.<br>• Analytical and strategic thinking skills for evaluating supplier performance and opportunities.<br>• Background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial fields is a plus.
