Fraud Analyst
We are looking for a detail-oriented Fraud Analyst to support ecommerce order protection efforts for a telecom services organization in Phoenix, Arizona. This Long-term Contract position focuses on assessing online transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and helping reduce business risk through timely and accurate decision-making. The ideal candidate is comfortable investigating fraud-related issues, documenting findings, and collaborating with internal teams to address order concerns and customer-impacting issues.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Evaluate online orders flagged for potential fraud and decide whether transactions should be approved, escalated, or stopped based on risk indicators.<br>• Investigate suspicious ecommerce activity involving identity misuse, payment fraud, and shipment-related concerns while maintaining clear and accurate case records.<br>• Review alerts generated by fraud screening tools and analyze transaction patterns to determine potential exposure to the business.<br>• Coordinate with fulfillment centers and shipping partners when urgent action is needed to cancel, intercept, or redirect questionable orders.<br>• Provide support during high-volume periods, including independent coverage during evenings, holidays, or other peak business times.<br>• Contribute to reporting and trend analysis by identifying recurring fraud patterns and preparing information requested by leadership.<br>• Assist with related customer service and investigative team activities as operational priorities shift.<br>• Maintain organized documentation of findings, actions taken, and case outcomes to support ongoing fraud prevention efforts.
• Experience reviewing fraudulent or potentially high-risk transactions in an ecommerce, telecom, or customer operations environment.<br>• Working knowledge of credit card fraud, identity theft indicators, and common ecommerce fraud schemes.<br>• Ability to conduct fraud investigations, assess risk, and make sound decisions with limited supervision.<br>• Strong written communication skills, including clear email correspondence and thorough case documentation.<br>• Familiarity with fraud analytics, transaction monitoring, and identifying suspicious behavioral patterns.<br>• Ability to manage multiple cases efficiently in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities.<br>• Proficiency in collaborating across teams to resolve order issues and support fraud prevention objectives.
