Default Analyst-Foreclosure
We are looking for a detail-oriented Default Analyst-Foreclosure to support residential mortgage foreclosure activities for a Contract position based in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will oversee case progress, verify that timelines and documentation meet applicable legal and investor standards, and work closely with internal teams and external foreclosure partners to keep files moving efficiently. The ideal candidate brings strong mortgage servicing knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with accuracy and consistency.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee a portfolio of foreclosure files and track each case to confirm milestones are completed accurately and within required deadlines.<br>• Review daily activity queues, identify overdue or pending actions, and drive timely follow-up to reduce delays across the foreclosure pipeline.<br>• Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, and internal support teams through approved tracking platforms to resolve exceptions, clarify open items, and maintain case momentum.<br>• Use servicing systems, pipeline management tools, and vendor applications to document activity, monitor status updates, and maintain complete loan records.<br>• Audit foreclosure-related fees, legal costs, and vendor charges to ensure they align with applicable investor, agency, and regulatory guidelines.<br>• Examine scheduled foreclosure sales in advance to confirm all procedural, legal, and documentation requirements have been satisfied before the sale date.<br>• Complete post-sale activities, including recording outcomes, managing sale-related follow-up, and monitoring receipt of funds or proceeds in accordance with the applicable process.<br>• Submit accurate instructions for the application or posting of funds within established service levels when proceeds or other foreclosure-related amounts are received.<br>• Contribute to additional workflow priorities, escalations, or special assignments as business needs require.
• At least 5 years of hands-on foreclosure experience within mortgage servicing, banking, or a related financial services environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of the full foreclosure lifecycle, including distinctions between judicial and non-judicial processes.<br>• Working familiarity with agency, investor, and government foreclosure guidelines, including applicable regulatory expectations.<br>• Demonstrated ability to review mortgage documents and manage foreclosure activity with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency with mortgage operations tools, servicing platforms, and general business software used to manage loan pipelines and case documentation.<br>• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external legal or vendor partners.<br>• Ability to prioritize multiple files, meet deadlines, and follow mortgage servicing requirements in a fast-paced environment.<br>• High school diploma or equivalent required.
