Contracts Manager
We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join a non-profit organization in Pasadena, California on a Long-term Contract basis. This role will play a key part in overseeing a large volume of agreements, with particular emphasis on government-related and customized contracts that require careful review and coordination. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment in contract language, confidence in negotiations, and the ability to keep multiple agreements moving efficiently from request through completion.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare, revise, and customize contract documents to support a range of business and program needs.<br>• Review agreement language, mark up terms, and lead negotiations to reach acceptable contractual outcomes.<br>• Oversee the full contract lifecycle manually, from initial intake and document preparation through final execution.<br>• Maintain accurate records on contract status, deadlines, approvals, and outstanding actions across a high volume of documents.<br>• Support agreements involving government entities as well as contracts that require language outside standard templates.<br>• Coordinate with internal partners to gather requirements, resolve issues, and keep contract workflows on schedule.<br>• Monitor multiple active agreements at once while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely follow-through.<br>• Provide contract administration support by organizing documentation and helping ensure completed agreements are properly tracked and filed.
• Prior experience in contract management, contract administration, or a closely related function.<br>• Demonstrated ability to draft, edit, and negotiate contract terms with strong attention to detail.<br>• Experience managing contracts through manual tracking methods and document control processes.<br>• Working knowledge of government contract requirements and related documentation practices.<br>• Ability to handle numerous agreements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.<br>• Strong organizational and project coordination skills when working with cross-functional stakeholders.<br>• Experience with more complex or substantive contract drafting is preferred.<br>• Familiarity with commercial contracts and contract negotiation best practices.
