This is a hands-on role focused on Microsoft cloud, modern security, and advanced infrastructure, with junior and mid-level engineers handling day-to-day tickets.</p><p><br></p><p>What You’ll Do</p><p>Lead Cloud Engineering & Architecture</p><ul><li>Architect, deploy, and support solutions across Microsoft 365, Azure, and Azure AD (Entra ID)</li><li>Lead cloud migrations, modernization projects, identity/security enhancements</li><li>Optimize Azure resources including networking, compute, storage, and governance</li><li>Support and improve environments across Microsoft Public Cloud and AWS</li></ul><p>Security Engineering</p><ul><li>Configure and manage Intune, Defender, Sentinel, conditional access, MFA, and Zero Trust policies</li><li>Execute security assessments and implement best‑practice improvements</li><li>Develop secure configurations for identity, endpoint, and cloud environments</li></ul><p>Senior-Level Escalation & Leadership</p><ul><li>Serve as the highest-tier escalation for cloud, security, and infrastructure issues</li><li>Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; provide technical guidance and oversight</li><li>Participate in client strategy, technical roadmapping, and project scoping</li><li>Help refine and enhance internal processes, automation, and service delivery</li></ul><p>Advanced Infrastructure Support</p><ul><li>Oversee higher-level work in Windows Server, virtualization (VMware/Hyper‑V), and networking</li><li>Support firewall technologies (Fortinet, Meraki, Palo Alto, etc.) and modern network design</li><li>Ensure documentation, monitoring, and operational excellence across environments</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>We are looking for an experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to drive strategic technology decisions and establish scalable, reliable architectural frameworks for the organization. In this role, you will build the enterprise architecture function from the ground up. The Lead Enterprise Architect will define architectural strategy, guide solution design, elevate engineering best practices, and advise senior leadership. You’ll work closely with the CIO, technical leaders, and business stakeholders to create a scalable, secure, and modern technology ecosystem. This is a highly strategic, hands-on leadership role for a self-starter who can operate in an environment with significant architectural gaps and minimal existing standards. This role is hybrid in Boston.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Enterprise Architecture</strong></p><ul><li>Assess the current architecture, identify gaps/anti-patterns, and define the future-state architecture.</li><li>Establish enterprise-wide architecture standards, patterns, and governance.</li><li>Evaluate emerging technologies and present recommendations to executive leadership.</li><li>Align solution design with business goals and long-term technology strategy.</li></ul><p><strong>Solution Architecture</strong></p><ul><li>Lead solution design for policy admin platforms (Duck Creek, Guidewire), microservices, APIs, integrations, and data architecture.</li><li>Provide guidance, not coding, to development teams and technical leads.</li><li>Develop architectural blueprints and ensure adherence across engineering teams.</li></ul><p><strong>DevOps & Testing Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Manage 2 DevOps Engineers and 1 Testing Engineer.</li><li>Standardize CI/CD practices, DevOps frameworks, and testing automation across teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Execution & Cross-Functional Leadership</strong></p><ul><li>Drive architectural roadmaps for applications, data, and integrations.</li><li>Partner with business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet organizational needs.</li><li>Mentor engineers and influence engineering, data, and infrastructure teams.</li></ul>
