My client is seeking their FIRST Finance & Accounting hire—a hands-on <strong>VP/Director of Finance</strong> with exceptional <strong>Controllership</strong> experience and a knack for FP& A &#128202;✨</p><p>Here's what they're looking for:</p><p>✅ <strong>Controllership foundation</strong>—Big 4 experience followed by industry expertise as a Controller</p><p>✅ Transitioned into a <strong>blended Finance & Accounting role</strong> (FP& A skills like budgeting, long-term planning, financial modeling, KPI analysis, & creating impactful presentation decks)</p><p>✅ Ideally, experience with <strong>banking relationships</strong> and <strong>partnership accounting</strong> (investments, equity contributions, distributions)</p><p>The role reports to the Co-Founders and the CFO of the PE firm, offering exposure to leadership decision-making &#128640;</p><p>&#128205; <strong>Location Requirement:</strong> You MUST currently reside within daily commuting distance of Midtown NYC as the role will become hybrid in late 2025/early 2026 &#127750;</p><p>&#128188; <strong>Compensation Package based on experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Base: $200K–$300K</li><li>25% discretionary bonus</li><li>Equity</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p>The role will cover:</p><ul><li>This is a hands-on Controllership role, blended with FP& A</li><li>Must have consolidation, intercompany experience </li><li>Experience w/ Partnership Accounting is a +</li><li>i.e. Tracking each partner's capital contributions, allocations of profits and losses, and distributions, reporting to partner etc. </li><li>This role will build, scale the F& A department, integrate new retail locations acquisitions</li><li>They have a 3rd party that handles the Fund Admin + GL services (eventually will bring some functions in house)</li><li>Consolidation of multiple entities, some ASC 842  </li><li>Experience with core FP& A, budgeting, modeling, forecasting, presentation decks, cashflow – Must be on the resume</li><li>Some Tax understanding is a + (K1, review tax filings, year-end), this role will work with the external tax team</li><li>Any treasury or banking relationship experience is a +</li></ul><p> </p><p>Who are you?</p><ul><li>Must have Partnership Accounting</li><li>Experience working for a PE at a PortCo level is almost a must</li><li>Real estate and/or retail healthcare is a +</li><li>A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting/Finance from a top accredited school</li><li>A MBA is highly desirable </li><li>A foundation in accounting is a must </li><li>5+ years of experience in a leadership role at the Director/VP level</li></ul><p>Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial. He or she must be able to effectively collaborate with individuals both inside and outside the company.</p><p> </p><p>If you would like to be considered for this position, please email your resume in a word document to </p><p>Kevin.Chin@Roberthalf</p>
