<p>About the Role</p><p>Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Loan Processor</strong> for a contract opportunity with a growing financial services organization in Meriden, Connecticut. This role is ideal for a professional with experience handling loan documentation, coordinating with borrowers and lenders, and ensuring loans progress efficiently through the approval and closing process.</p><p>The Loan Processor will serve as a key point of contact throughout the loan lifecycle, helping to ensure that applications are complete, accurate, and compliant with company and regulatory guidelines.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Review loan applications and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness</li><li>Collect and verify required borrower information, including income, assets, employment, and credit documentation</li><li>Communicate with applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to obtain outstanding conditions</li><li>Order and monitor appraisals, title reports, flood certifications, and other required documentation</li><li>Maintain accurate and organized loan files throughout the processing cycle</li><li>Submit complete loan packages to underwriting for review</li><li>Track loan statuses and proactively follow up on outstanding items</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable lending regulations</li><li>Prepare files for closing and funding</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service while guiding borrowers through the loan process</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred</li><li>2+ years of loan processing, mortgage processing, banking, or financial services experience</li><li>Knowledge of residential mortgage loan documentation and lending processes</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word</li><li>Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines simultaneously</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience working with loan origination systems (LOS)</li><li>Familiarity with mortgage underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements</li><li>Experience processing conventional, FHA, VA, or other residential loan products</li><li>Understanding of closing and funding procedures</li><li>NMLS licensing or mortgage industry certifications a plus</li></ul><p>Schedule</p><ul><li>Full-time, Monday through Friday</li><li>Standard business hours</li><li>Contract assignment with potential for extension based on business needs</li></ul><p>Why Work with Robert Half?</p><p>Robert Half connects talented professionals with rewarding opportunities that align with their skills and career goals.
