  • <p><strong>PHP Developer</strong></p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>PHP Developer</strong> to support a platform transition and help build out new PHP-based applications using the JetBrains ecosystem. This is a hands-on, heads-down role for someone who enjoys owning development work end to end and is comfortable operating in a Linux server environment.</p><p>This position blends <strong>core PHP development</strong> with <strong>light systems administration</strong>, making it ideal for someone who has supported production applications in a mid-to-large enterprise environment and can step in confidently to move work forward.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain <strong>customer-facing PHP applications</strong></li><li>Build and support <strong>API integrations</strong></li><li>Serve as a key contributor during the platform transition to <strong>PHPStorm / JetBrains</strong></li><li>Manage application deployments, services, permissions, and troubleshooting on <strong>Linux servers</strong></li><li>Collaborate closely with existing developers to support workload and accelerate delivery</li><li>Work independently to identify dependencies, tools, and best practices needed for development</li><li>Support backend data access and integrations using SQL</li><li>Contribute to environment setup and ongoing stability as systems are being built out</li><li>EDI experience is a strong plus, especially for integration-focused work</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Experience & Skills</strong></p><ul><li><strong>5+ years</strong> of professional PHP development experience</li><li>Strong experience with <strong>Git</strong> (branching, merging, collaboration workflows)</li><li>Proven ability to <strong>independently deploy, configure, and support PHP applications on Linux servers</strong></li><li>Hands-on experience developing applications and APIs using <strong>PHPStorm (JetBrains)</strong></li><li>Solid <strong>SQL</strong> skills, including configuring data and setting up database connections</li><li>Comfortable managing services, permissions, and troubleshooting production issues</li><li>Experience working in a <strong>mid-to-large company</strong> environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>EDI or integration-heavy background</li><li>Experience supporting production systems during platform or tooling transitions</li><li>Ability to guide others on tooling, dependencies, and development best practices</li></ul><p><br></p>
