Project Accountant
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our clients team in Lincoln, Nebraska. In this role, you will oversee project financials, ensuring billing accuracy, compliance, and seamless coordination with project managers. Your expertise will be integral to maintaining efficient workflows and supporting the success of construction projects.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Collaborate with project managers to review budgets and reconcile them with purchase orders for accuracy.</p><p>• Assist with subcontracting processes, including project billings and closeout procedures.</p><p>• Monitor and compile project lien waivers, both conditional and unconditional, to ensure timely closure of subcontracts.</p><p>• Oversee the Spend Clarity App by coding receipts, adding new projects, and assigning cost codes.</p><p>• Address payable inquiries, manage vendor statements, and process pay applications.</p><p>• Set up new projects in Procore and Acumatica systems.</p><p>• Track and manage lien waivers, certificates of insurance (COIs), and W9 documentation.</p><p>• Handle tax-exempt forms and ensure compliance with regulations.</p><p>• Facilitate data flow between Acumatica and Procore to maintain accurate records.</p><p>• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project accounting operations.</p>
• 2-5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably within the construction industry.<br>• Familiarity with construction pay applications and change orders.<br>• Proficiency in using construction management systems, such as Procore.<br>• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.<br>• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize workload.<br>• Experience with corporate tax, sales tax, and journal entries is a plus.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger and project accounting practices.<br>• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
