  • <p>We are looking for a detail-oriented <strong>Part Time Sales Tax</strong> <strong>Data Entry Clerk</strong> to assist with monthly sales tax filings in Lexington, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position requiring part-time availability to support tax return preparation and data entry tasks. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and is ideal for someone with prior experience in sales tax filings. This role would be in office about 24 hours a month- it is flexible on schedule. If someone is interested and available the week of the 15th of every month and potentially other days as needed. <strong><u>The ideal candidate will have experience in filing tax returns in at least one state. </u></strong></p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Complete monthly sales tax filings by accurately entering numerical data into tax forms and systems.</p><p>• Assist in preparing tax returns for multiple states, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.</p><p>• Collaborate with the team to finalize filings during the designated period each month.</p><p>• Ensure all numerical entries are error-free and meet filing deadlines.</p><p>• Provide additional support as needed during tax filing periods.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of completed filings and data for future reference.</p><p>• Work on-site 1-2 days per week to coordinate with the team and complete tasks.</p><p>• Adapt to flexible scheduling based on availability and workload needs.</p><p>• Utilize computer systems and software to perform efficient data entry.</p><p>• Communicate any discrepancies or issues promptly to ensure smooth processing.</p>
