Bilingual Town Clerk
<p>The Town Clerk operates as the primary administrative support for local government operations. This role requires strong independence, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining official records, coordinating elections, supporting public inquiries, and handling various administrative functions. The Town Clerk must be able to attend evening meetings as needed.</p>
<p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare meeting agendas and minutes</li><li>File ordinances and resolutions for codification</li><li>Maintain and update official records, charters, and codes</li><li>Assemble meeting packets and ensure all required signatures on adopted legislation</li><li>Manage calendars for governing officials</li><li>Provide administrative support including recordkeeping, weekly deposits, and document filings</li><li>Serve as public information point for residents, including receiving petitions, complaints, and information requests and respond to inquires in both English and Spanish</li><li>Maintain website content and publish newsletter.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED required</li><li>Associate degree or two years of responsible clerical/office experience preferred</li><li>Strong clerical, organizational, and administrative skills</li><li>Excellent computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, record management systems, etc.)</li><li>Valid driver’s license required</li><li>Municipal or government experience preferred</li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish required</li></ul><p><br></p>
