Career Planner
We are looking for a Career Planner to support job seekers through personalized employment guidance, training coordination, and ongoing case management. This contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is with a mission-driven non-profit organization focused on helping individuals build practical career paths and improve long-term employment outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in participant support, documentation, and workforce program administration, along with the ability to balance compliance requirements with compassionate service.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Guide participants through career planning services by assessing employment goals, identifying training options, and recommending appropriate next steps.<br>• Evaluate and document eligibility for workforce programs in accordance with applicable federal and state guidelines, ensuring records are complete and accurate in the designated system.<br>• Manage an active caseload of individuals engaged in career development or occupational training, maintaining consistent communication and timely follow-up.<br>• Conduct interviews and orientations in one-on-one and group settings to gather background information, determine job readiness, and explain available services.<br>• Create individualized service strategies that outline each participant’s objectives, support needs, and training plans based on assessments and consultations.<br>• Monitor participant activity throughout the program lifecycle, recording progress, updating case notes, and addressing barriers that may affect successful outcomes.<br>• Coordinate with training providers and community organizations to support enrollment, referrals, service delivery, and participant success.<br>• Provide job placement assistance, retention support, and post-exit follow-up to help meet employment and performance goals during the required follow-up period.<br>• Maintain organized files, training documentation, and outcome records while preparing monthly activity reports and other required program data.<br>• Represent the organization professionally when working with participants, partner agencies, and internal teams, including providing support to business services efforts as needed.
• 3+ years of experience in case management, workforce development, recruiting, career services, or a closely related function.<br>• Demonstrated ability to support job seekers with employment planning, training coordination, and job placement activities.<br>• Experience maintaining detailed participant files, compliance documentation, and accurate electronic records.<br>• Strong interviewing, orientation, and communication skills for working with individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds.<br>• Ability to track program activity, monitor outcomes, and prepare routine reports with a high level of accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with eligibility determination processes and adherence to policy-driven program requirements.<br>• Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple participants, priorities, and deadlines effectively.<br>• Sound judgment, discretion, and commitment to protecting confidential participant and program information.
