We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead our financial operations in Concord, California. This role requires a strategic thinker who can oversee accounting functions while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and organizational standards. The ideal candidate will excel in managing teams, analyzing financial data, and presenting accurate financial reports to stakeholders. Responsibilities: • Manage daily activities within the accounting department, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to organizational policies. • Supervise accounts payable and receivable processes, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and financial reporting systems. • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard revenue, costs, and budget expenditures. • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for review by stakeholders. • Monitor and evaluate accounting data to identify trends and areas of improvement. • Coordinate and oversee audit processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. • Align grant and program budgets with expenditures throughout the funding period, maintaining consistent financial oversight. • Recruit, train, and mentor team members to encourage growth and enhance departmental capabilities. • Develop and promote a positive work environment by strengthening communication and collaboration within the team. • Present financial reports and insights to the board of directors when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus. • At least seven years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a minimum of five years in a supervisory capacity. • Proven expertise in audit coordination, financial reporting, budget analysis, and general ledger management. • Demonstrated experience managing grants and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. • Proficiency in accounting software, including Sage Intacct, and familiarity with other financial tools. • Strong leadership skills with a commitment to mentoring and developing diverse teams. • Exceptional analytical and organizational abilities to interpret financial data strategically. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to various audiences.
