Data Analyst
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join an education-focused organization in Cambridge, Massachusetts on a contract basis with the potential to become permanent. This role will help bring structure and visibility to contract and vendor information by turning fragmented data into clear, actionable insights. The person in this position will work closely with sourcing, software asset management, procurement, finance, and vendor partners to support renewal planning, vendor oversight, and operational decision-making.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Consolidate contract, procurement, finance, and usage information from multiple systems into a reliable dataset that supports informed planning and reporting.<br>• Review and cleanse vendor and contract records to improve data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility across the contract lifecycle.<br>• Analyze upcoming renewal activity and build tracking methods that help the team manage deadlines, priorities, and follow-up actions more proactively.<br>• Partner with sourcing leads, software asset management specialists, and vendor management stakeholders to support governance reviews and vendor segmentation efforts.<br>• Extract and organize information from platforms such as Coupa, ServiceNow, finance applications, and spreadsheet-based workbooks for operational analysis.<br>• Develop reports, summaries, and Excel-based analyses that highlight renewal status, spend patterns, contract risks, and vendor trends.<br>• Support procure-to-pay and vendor lifecycle processes by identifying gaps in documentation, data alignment, and process visibility.<br>• Collaborate with external vendors and internal business partners to validate contract details, resolve discrepancies, and improve record completeness.
• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, contract administration, vendor management, procurement, or a related business operations function.<br>• Strong background working with contract renewals, vendor contracts, and lifecycle tracking in a corporate environment.<br>• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data organization, and analysis of large or complex datasets; VBA experience is a plus.<br>• Hands-on experience pulling and reconciling data from procurement, finance, service management, or contract management systems such as Coupa or ServiceNow.<br>• Knowledge of procure-to-pay processes, software asset management, licensing, or enterprise vendor governance practices.<br>• Ability to clean, structure, and interpret data from multiple sources to produce clear business insights and actionable recommendations.<br>• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and external vendor contacts.
