This Accounting Assistant must have a flair for numbers and should be familiar with processing accounts receivable/payable transactions, they will also assist with billing and collections, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, invoice processing, journal entries, and assisting with accounting projects. Ultimately, the successful Accounting Assistant will assist with providing thorough accounting and administrative support to the finance team.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><p>· Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including data entry, invoice matching, and payment posting.</p><p>· Prepare and maintain financial documents, spreadsheets, and reports.</p><p>· Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end and year-end close processes.</p><p>· Verify and record business transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.</p><p>· Support the preparation of journal entries and general ledger maintenance.</p><p>· Help monitor budgets and expenses, tracking variances as needed.</p><p>· Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve billing or payment discrepancies.</p><p>· Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing accounting documents for audits and recordkeeping.</p><p>· Support payroll preparation and employee expense reimbursements when needed.</p><p>· Perform other duties and special projects as needed.</p>
