We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. In this role, you will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate financial records. Responsibilities: • Initiate outbound calls to customers to address overdue accounts and facilitate collections. • Research and resolve unapplied payments to ensure accurate allocation to customer accounts. • Monitor accounts receivable activity to identify and address delinquent accounts. • Maintain thorough and precise records of all customer communications, payment plans, and collection efforts. • Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and address customer concerns effectively. • Prepare detailed reports on outstanding accounts and provide updates on collection progress. • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payment processes and resolve account issues.

• At least 2 years of experience in collections, including handling commercial and consumer accounts. • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers. • Exceptional attention to detail and proven organizational abilities. • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to address billing and payment concerns. • Experience with collections processes and familiarity with relevant systems; knowledge of Pace is a plus. • Comfortable making outbound collections calls and negotiating payment arrangements.
