We are looking for a Controller to join our team in Amarillo, Texas on a Contract basis. This position will oversee property and entity-level accounting, deliver timely financial reporting, and provide operational insight that supports hotel leadership and ownership groups. The role also partners closely with general managers and stakeholders to strengthen financial controls, support forecasting, and maintain compliance across multiple hospitality accounting functions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle for assigned properties and ownership entities, ensuring financial statements are completed accurately and on schedule.<br>• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, amortization, depreciation, and full balance sheet reconciliations with clear supporting documentation.<br>• Analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods, translating results into practical commentary for owners and property leaders.<br>• Maintain detailed schedules for fixed assets, capital spending, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment by property, and assemble recurring reporting packages for investors and ownership groups.<br>• Monitor hotel revenue reporting, investigate discrepancies identified through daily audit activity, and coordinate issue resolution with on-site leadership.<br>• Reconcile franchise-related charges, loyalty program activity, credit card settlements, receivables, deposits, and other brand or channel statements while preserving owner-specific reporting formats.<br>• Manage cash activity, including daily position tracking, deposit verification, bank reconciliations, short-term forecasting, lender reporting, covenant support, and reserve or escrow draw documentation.<br>• Lead budgeting and rolling forecast activities with operations leaders and general managers, while advising on cost drivers such as labor, contracts, utilities, insurance, and room profitability metrics.<br>• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll-related accounting, audits, tax filing requests, acquisition due diligence, and the accounting setup and onboarding of newly added properties.<br>• Establish scalable accounting procedures and reinforce internal controls across corporate and property-level processes, escalating exceptions when necessary.

• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close and producing monthly and annual financial reports in a multi-entity environment.<br>• Strong knowledge of consolidated financial statements, account reconciliations, and financial analysis for operational decision-making.<br>• Background in hospitality, hotel, or property accounting, including revenue review, occupancy-related taxes, and management fee calculations.<br>• Experience handling credit card reconciliations, transaction settlement activity, and cash management processes.<br>• Ability to develop budgets, maintain forecasts, and apply budget allocation methods across departments or entities.<br>• Proficiency in preparing organized reporting packages for ownership groups, lenders, auditors, and other stakeholders.<br>• Skilled in working with complex financial models and interpreting detailed data into clear business recommendations.<br>• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a Contract role.
