This is a high-impact role for a qualified accountant who thrives in environments where structure is being created, not inherited.</p><p>You'll be working directly with the board to establish financial control, reporting, and strategic insight from first principles. This is a true build role - perfect for someone who enjoys moving quickly from diagnosis to delivery.</p><p><strong>Interim Financial Controller/Lead | Build &amp; Transform Role</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Yeovil / Hybrid (1 day per week onsite)<br /> <strong>Term:</strong> 6-Month Contract <br /> <strong>Day Rate:</strong> £350pd+ / 65k-70k+ (FTC)<br /> <strong>Start:</strong> Immediate</p><p><strong>Key deliverables:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement robust financial controls and processes</li><li>Develop and produce monthly management accounts and board reports</li><li>Analyse contract performance and expenditure to drive decision-making</li><li>Lead the transition from outsourced finance provision to in-house function</li><li>Establish budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management processes</li><li>Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations and tax requirements</li></ul><p><strong>We need someone who:</strong></p><ul><li>Is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience in start-up/scale-up environments</li><li>Has built finance functions before and can operate with minimal direction</li><li>Is proficient in QuickBooks and advanced Excel</li><li>Can translate financial data into strategic insight for board-level decisions</li><li>Is hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable working at both operational and strategic levels</li></ul><p><strong>Apply:</strong><br /> Please submit your CV and day rate expectations.
