<p><strong>Financial Controller - 4 Day Working Week</strong></p><p><strong>Harrogate </strong></p><p>Robert Half Accountancy and Finance is recruiting an experienced Financial Controller to join a forward-thinking business based in Harrogate. This is a key role overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting, and strong business partnering across both core and commercial activities.</p><p>You'll work closely with the Finance Director, providing high‑quality management information, driving process improvements, and leading a small, capable finance team. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys both hands‑on financial control and influencing senior stakeholders.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p><ul><li>Leading month‑end, management accounts and financial reporting</li><li>Maintaining strong financial controls and supporting year‑end and audit processes</li><li>Overseeing budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning</li><li>Acting as a business partner to operational and commercial teams</li><li>Line managing and developing the finance team</li><li>Driving improvements in systems, processes, and financial procedures</li><li></li></ul><p><strong>Requirements: </strong></p><ul><li>Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)</li><li>Strong experience in a similar Financial Controller role</li><li>Confident in leading a finance team and developing people</li><li>Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills</li><li>Proactive, commercially aware and comfortable driving change</li></ul><p><strong>What's on offer: </strong></p><ul><li>£65,000 basic salary (for 4 days)</li><li>Excellent benefits package</li><li>Office‑based initially, with some hybrid working once settled in the role</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
