<p>Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join an established business unit of a PE backed business based in Leeds.</p><p>The business has experienced significant growth through acquisition and now requires a commercially minded Financial Controller to partner closely with the Managing Director and play a key role in shaping future strategy.</p><p>This is a hybrid role and offers a salary of £70,000-£75,000 + benefits.</p><p> </p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>Working as part of the local leadership team, you will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee a small finance team of two. Alongside ownership of monthly management accounts, your remit is weighted heavily toward commercial finance and decision support.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Key responsibilities include:</strong></p><p> </p><ul><li>Business partnering with the Managing Director to drive growth, profitability and operational performance</li><li>Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer‑term planning</li><li>Supporting pricing, margin analysis and tenders</li><li>Providing commercial insight to guide strategic decisions and investment choices</li><li>Implementing process improvements and supporting ongoing change across the business unit</li><li>Ensuring the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts and KPIs</li><li>Coaching and developing the finance team</li></ul><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate:</strong></p><ul><li>Fully qualified CIMA / ACCA / ACA</li><li>Strong commercial finance background with proven business partnering capability</li><li>Experience working within a growing or evolving environment (M&A experience advantageous)</li><li>Confident operating as the right hand to an MD, influencing decisions and challenging constructively</li><li>Comfortable balancing hands‑on finance with high‑level strategic input</li></ul><p><strong>Salary & Benefits</strong></p><ul><li>£70,000-£75,000 base salary</li><li>Competitive benefits package</li><li>Hybrid working</li><li>Opportunity to take a pivotal commercial role in a growing UK group</li></ul><p>Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
