We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Vancouver, British Columbia for a special project. In this project-specific contract role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the company's digital transformation journey, overseeing financial reporting, reconciliation processes, and supporting key projects within the real estate industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively across teams in different markets and contribute to critical financial initiatives. Responsibilities:• Finalize the reconciliation of historical financial data across management and statutory datasets, ensuring accuracy in consolidated financial statements, including cash flow statements.• Provide support for the migration and reconciliation of budget data between platforms, ensuring data integrity throughout the process.• Assist in preparing and testing financial reporting for statutory and management purposes, including actual, forecast, and budget results.• Contribute to the production of annual statutory accounts and perform analysis required for reporting disclosures.• Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary analysis and facilitating audit activities.• Resolve unreconciled financial items by working closely with the finance team and ensuring timely resolution.• Deliver ad hoc financial reports and support broader finance-related projects as required.• Review consolidated financial data across multiple currencies and regions to ensure accuracy in reporting.• Develop end-to-end budget preparation processes and contribute to effective financial planning.• Actively engage with various teams, including IT, finance reporting, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.

• Proven expertise in account reconciliation and financial data consolidation across multi-currency environments. • Strong experience in financial reporting, including preparation and review of cash flow statements. • Proficiency in handling general ledger tasks, journal entries, and month-end close processes. • Familiarity with financial consolidation tools such as OneStream and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Background in system implementation and software migration projects, with a focus on maintaining data accuracy. • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines. • A collaborative attitude with excellent communication skills to work across teams and departments. • Analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
