We are looking for a Senior Front End Developer to join a collaborative design systems team supporting enterprise web applications in Ontario. This long-term contract position focuses on building scalable, accessible React components that help create a consistent user experience across a broad product portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with designers, researchers, product leaders, and accessibility specialists to deliver high-quality front-end solutions that balance usability, performance, and maintainability.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Build, enhance, and support reusable React components that strengthen consistency across multiple web products.<br>• Translate design concepts into production-ready interfaces while maintaining close alignment with established UX standards.<br>• Embed accessibility best practices into front-end development to help ensure components meet recognized compliance expectations.<br>• Work with cross-functional partners to define needs, clarify priorities, and deliver solutions within an evolving development environment.<br>• Improve component libraries through thoughtful documentation, clean code structure, and patterns that encourage efficient adoption by product teams.<br>• Take part in peer reviews and contribute to development standards that promote quality, reliability, and maintainable code.<br>• Apply insights from user research and product feedback to refine component behaviour and overall usability.<br>• Coordinate effectively with globally distributed colleagues and adjust working style as needed to support collaboration across time zones.

• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining React-based design systems in a software development environment.<br>• Strong understanding of web accessibility principles and hands-on experience implementing inclusive front-end solutions.<br>• Advanced proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern client-side development practices.<br>• Background developing enterprise-level software or other complex, large-scale web applications.<br>• Familiarity with Git-based version control and structured development workflows.<br>• Effective communication skills with the ability to solve problems and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.<br>• Strong written and spoken English.<br>• Experience with tools such as Figma and Jira, with additional exposure to infrastructure, CAD, or 3D-related environments considered an asset.
