<p>We are seeking a skilled <strong>Linux Administrator / Specialist</strong> to manage, maintain, and optimize Linux-based systems and enterprise infrastructure. This role will support virtual environments, servers, directory services, messaging platforms, and database systems while ensuring security, performance, and reliability across the IT environment.  This is a 3-4 month contract to start for our client in North York, Ontario and fully on site. The ideal individual will be available to work immediately. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot <strong>Linux servers</strong> in production and development environments. Based on general knowledge.</li><li>Manage and support <strong>VMware</strong> virtual infrastructure, including provisioning, maintenance, and performance tuning. </li><li>Maintain and optimize physical and virtual <strong>server</strong> environments. </li><li>Support and troubleshoot <strong>MySQL databases</strong>, including backups, performance, and availability. </li><li>Administer and support <strong>Microsoft Exchange</strong> environments. </li><li>Manage <strong>Active Directory (AD)</strong> integration, authentication, group policies, and user access. </li><li>Perform system patching, upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning. </li><li>Monitor system health, security, and capacity to ensure high availability and performance. </li><li>Collaborate with infrastructure, database, and application teams to resolve technical issues and improve system operations. </li><li>Document configurations, procedures, and support processes. </li></ul><p><br></p>
