Front End Drupal Developer
<p>We&#39;re recruiting for a Front End Developer, Drupal for a creative agency client in Toronto. This is a short term contract for approximately 3 weeks, working during business hours (Mon-Fri, 9am to 5pm). </p><p><br></p><p>This role will be responsible for building, enhancing and maintaining responsive, user-friendly websites and web applications. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, deep knowledge of front-end development best practices, and hands-on experience working within Drupal environments.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and maintain responsive, accessible and high-performing web interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related front-end frameworks.</li><li>Build and customize Drupal themes and templates to support business and user requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with designers, back-end developers and stakeholders to translate wireframes and business needs into functional web experiences.</li><li>Implement reusable front-end components and ensure consistency across digital properties.</li><li>Optimize websites for speed, performance, and cross-browser compatibility.</li><li>Troubleshoot, debug and resolve front-end and Drupal-related issues.</li><li>Integrate front-end code with Drupal CMS functionality, including content types, views and modules.</li><li>Ensure websites follow accessibility standards and modern web development best practices.</li><li>Participate in code reviews, testing and deployment activities.</li><li>Maintain documentation for development processes, code changes and site updates.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<ul><li>3+ years of front-end development experience.</li><li>Hands-on experience developing websites in Drupal.</li><li>Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and responsive design.</li><li>Experience with Drupal theming, Twig templating and site-building concepts.</li><li>Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.</li><li>Understanding of cross-browser compatibility, web performance optimization and accessibility standards.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul><p><br></p>
