THE ROLE:Our client is seeking an experienced Controller for a leadership opportunity within a complex, fast-paced organization undergoing significant transformation and restructuring. This is a hands-on role for a finance professional who can provide stability, manage competing priorities, and confidently oversee accounting operations in a multi-entity environment.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and full-cycle accounting under ASPE.</li><li>Manage cash flow, forecasting, liquidity planning, and bank requisitions.</li><li>Lead year-end reporting, including financial statements, notes, and MD&A.</li><li>Oversee reconciliations and provide hands-on support with inventory accounting.</li><li>Support insurance-related financial analysis and documentation.</li><li>Mentor accounting staff and provide guidance to a lean finance team.</li><li>Partner with leadership and external advisors on financial matters.</li><li>Identify process improvements and support the adoption of AI-enabled tools.</li><li>Provide structure and stability throughout a period of transition.</li></ul>ABOUT YOU:You are a hands-on, adaptable finance leader who thrives in complex and fast-moving environments. You bring strong technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:<ul><li>Proven Controller-level experience.</li><li>CPA or internationally recognized accounting designation with relevant Canadian experience.</li><li>Strong knowledge of ASPE.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables and lookups.</li><li>Strong full-cycle accounting, cash flow, and financial reporting experience.</li><li>Multi-entity accounting experience.</li><li>Understanding of wind-up and distribution processes.</li><li>Inventory, multi-currency, and consolidation experience considered an asset.</li><li>Power Pivot and AI tool experience considered an asset.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a high-paced, changing environment.</li></ul>If you are available immediately with the requirements listed above, click the “Apply Now!” link.
