<p>Robert Half is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller on behalf of our client. The Corporate Controller will provide leadership across the controllership function while playing a critical role in strengthening financial processes, controls, governance, and organizational effectiveness. This individual will be expected to assess existing practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead meaningful change across the organization.</p><p> </p><p>This is an opportunity for a hands-on, decisive finance leader who is comfortable operating in a complex environment, challenging the status quo, and leading initiatives that improve the effectiveness, consistency, and scalability of the finance function.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Provide overall leadership for the corporate accounting and controllership function, ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting.</li><li>Lead the ongoing development and enhancement of accounting processes, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.</li><li>Assess existing processes and controls, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design and implement practical improvements.</li><li>Strengthen the internal-control environment, including financial controls, reconciliations, documentation, approvals, and risk management.</li><li>Lead initiatives focused on process standardization, automation, efficiency, and improved financial data and reporting.</li><li>Drive change-management initiatives across multiple functions and locations, ensuring sustainable adoption of new processes and ways of working.</li><li>Lead cross-functional finance initiatives from concept through implementation, including defining priorities, establishing accountability, and managing execution.</li><li>Partner with senior leadership and operational stakeholders to improve financial processes and decision-making across the organization.</li><li>Provide strong technical accounting and controllership leadership, including oversight of financial reporting, month-end close, audit, and compliance requirements.</li><li>Identify areas where existing practices or structures are no longer effective and make informed recommendations for change.</li><li>Make difficult decisions when required, balancing financial risk, operational realities, organizational impact, and long-term objectives.</li><li>Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards within the finance organization.</li><li>Develop and mentor finance professionals while building a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance.</li><li>Lead and influence stakeholders across functions and geographies, often without direct authority.</li><li>Support senior leadership with analysis, insight, and recommendations on financial and operational matters.</li><li>Ensure changes to processes and controls are effectively implemented, documented, and embedded within the organization.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><br></p><ul><li>CPA designation required.</li><li>10+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, with experience in a complex or multi-entity organization.</li><li>Proven experience leading process improvement, controls design, standardization, and organizational change.</li><li>Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, and audit knowledge.</li><li>Experience designing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, processes, and control frameworks.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead significant initiatives across multiple business units, functions, or geographic locations.</li><li>Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similarly complex operating environment would be an asset.</li><li>Strong systems aptitude and experience improving financial processes through technology and automation.</li><li>Proven ability to assess situations objectively, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.</li><li>Decisive leadership style with the confidence to make tough decisions, challenge existing practices, and hold others accountable.</li><li>Strong change-management skills with a demonstrated ability to bring people through periods of significant organizational or process change.</li><li>Executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and operational stakeholders.</li><li>Comfortable operating in an environment where priorities can shift and decisions need to be made with incomplete information.</li><li>Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility across all levels of an organization</li></ul><p>To apply for this Corporate Controller opportunity, please click the "APPLY" Link located above.
