Accounting Clerk
We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong data entry skills and a passion for maintaining efficient accounting operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Enter accounts payable transactions into expense approval and general ledger systems with precision.<br>• Review and verify accounting documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.<br>• Process credit card payments and employee expense claims in a timely manner.<br>• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to invoices and payments.<br>• Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and maintain positive relationships.<br>• Provide customer service support for accounts payable-related issues.<br>• Contribute to month-end closing activities by preparing and organizing necessary documents.<br>• Assist in preparing documentation required for audits.<br>• Scan, attach, and organize accounting documents to maintain accurate and accessible records.<br>• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the accounting team.
• Proven experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.<br>• Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing with a high level of accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with billing systems and financial software, including Sage 100.<br>• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing financial data.<br>• Ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.<br>• Detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance with financial procedures.<br>• Experience in supporting month-end closings and audits is an asset.
