We are looking for a Data Analyst - Collections to support data-driven decision-making for a collections function within the utilities and infrastructure sector in Markham, Ontario. This position focuses on turning operational and financial data into practical insights that improve recovery performance, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support business-to-business collections strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with collections, credit, sales, and leadership teams to monitor trends, evaluate results, and recommend process improvements based on clear analysis.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Analyze collections and credit performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that support stronger recovery results.<br>• Build, maintain, and enhance dashboards and recurring reports using tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and CRM-based data sources.<br>• Track key performance indicators, call centre activity, and portfolio metrics, then present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable format.<br>• Partner with collections, credit, and sales teams to improve reporting visibility and align operational priorities with business goals.<br>• Review account and portfolio-level information to uncover payment behaviour patterns and support more effective collection strategies in a B2B environment.<br>• Validate data accuracy across reporting sources and resolve inconsistencies to ensure dependable insight for leadership decision-making.<br>• Support ongoing improvements to collection processes by translating business needs into meaningful analysis and performance measurement.<br>• Contribute to reporting updates tied to system or process changes when required, ensuring continuity and clarity in collections performance tracking.

• Demonstrated experience in B2B collections, credit operations, or a related analytical role supporting accounts receivable functions.<br>• Strong ability to interpret operational data and convert findings into practical recommendations for business stakeholders.<br>• Proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI for data extraction, reporting, and dashboard development.<br>• Experience working with CRM platforms and accounting or financial systems in a reporting or analysis capacity.<br>• Solid understanding of collection workflows, credit principles, and performance measurement within a business environment.<br>• Familiarity with KPI reporting and call centre metrics, including the ability to assess productivity and effectiveness trends.<br>• Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical insights clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership.
