Senior Human Resources Manager
<p><strong>Senior Human Resources Manager (12-Month Contract)</strong></p><p><strong>Location: York Region</strong></p><p>A dynamic and experienced Senior Human Resources Manager is needed to lead all on-site HR operations within a fast-paced seasonal workplace. As a strategic partner to operational leadership, this role aligns people strategies with business priorities to drive performance and enhance the employee experience in a high-volume, guest-focused environment.</p><p>The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, deep knowledge of employment legislation, and proven expertise in high-volume recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR operations, along with the integrity, discretion, and sound judgment required to support a large seasonal workforce and complex workplace matters. This working arrangement is onsite daily, including weekends. Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee all on-site HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, HR compliance, employee relations, benefits and compensation, training and development, and performance management</li><li>Provide HR guidance to the management team, supporting informed decision-making on employee issues and workplace concerns</li><li>Ensure adequate staffing levels across all departments</li><li>Manage and mitigate legal and compliance risks, partnering with external legal counsel as required</li><li>Ensure accurate HR reporting, record-keeping, and audit readiness</li><li>Lead, coach, and manage the performance of HR team members</li><li>Partner with corporate teams to implement and maintain enterprise-wide standards and initiatives</li><li>Manage the HR division budget and expenses</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required</li><li>5+ years of progressive HR management experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing Ontario legal issues, workplace investigations, and compliance-related matters</li><li>Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including ESA, OHRC, OHSA, and AODA</li><li>Strong decision-making capability with sound judgment</li><li>High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion</li></ul>
