In this contract role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of a portfolio of up to three business units, ensuring accurate reporting, timely reconciliations, and effective communication with operational stakeholders. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with multiple teams to drive financial accuracy and process improvements.</p><p><em>Key Responsibilities:</em></p><ul><li>Manage the full-cycle accounting function for up to three business units</li><li>Review and monitor accounts receivable aging and investigate outstanding balances</li><li>Prepare month-end account reconciliations and supporting schedules</li><li>Analyze monthly profit and loss results and collaborate with leadership on financial performance</li><li>Review balance sheet subledgers and identify potential risks, discrepancies, or aged balances</li><li>Partner with shared services teams, including accounts receivable, payroll, and operational support staff, to resolve accounting issues</li><li>Process payroll calculations and prepare payroll summaries</li><li>Perform daily bank reconciliations and support various banking activities</li><li>Contribute to process improvements and enhance financial controls where required</li></ul><p><strong>ABOUT YOU:</strong></p><p>You are a proactive accounting professional who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys building strong working relationships across the organization. <p><strong>YOUR SKILLS &amp; EXPERIENCE:</strong></p><ul><li>CPA designation or equivalent accounting experience; designated and non-designated candidates will be considered</li><li>Proven full-cycle accounting experience</li><li>Strong understanding of month-end close processes, reconciliations, and financial reporting</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with operational teams</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment</li><li>Experience reviewing and analyzing balance sheet accounts and subledgers</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities</li><li>Experience within automotive, dealership, retail, or a related industry is considered an asset</li><li>Exposure to CDK Dealer Management System or similar ERP/accounting software is preferred</li></ul><p>Apply today to join a high-performing finance team where your expertise, initiative, and problem-solving abilities will make an immediate impact, don’t delay and submit your resume today!
