Senior Accounting Coordinator
<p>Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented <strong>Senior Accounting Coordinator</strong> to join their Finance & Administration team. This role plays a key part in overseeing day-to-day accounting activities — including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Reconciliation, and Payment Processing — while supporting accurate month-end and year-end reporting.</p><p><br></p><p>Reporting directly to the Owners, the Senior Accounting Coordinator will work closely with both the Operations and Accounting teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on accounting work, analysis, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage full-cycle accounting, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable</li><li>Oversee collections, bank reconciliations, and intercompany transactions</li><li>Prepare adjusting journal entries, accruals, and amortization schedules</li><li>Handle sales tax reporting and remittances (GST/HST)</li><li>Support payroll inquiries and statutory deductions</li><li>Manage T4 and WSIB filings</li><li>Process and monitor banking transactions (deposits, EFTs, stop payments, etc.)</li><li>Analyze monthly financial statements and provide variance explanations for management review</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting</li><li>5–10 years of full-cycle accounting experience</li><li>3–5 years of experience managing or supervising staff</li><li>Strong proficiency in Excel, QuickBooks Online, and payroll systems</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities</li><li>Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal)</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing individual priorities</li><li>Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment</li><li>Adaptable and proactive with a desire to learn and grow</li></ul><p><br></p>
