Instructional Designer
We are looking for an Instructional Designer to create engaging, practical learning experiences that help teams adopt integrated management system practices across the organization. This Long-term Contract position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and will focus on turning complex operational content into clear, role-specific training for diverse business groups. The successful candidate will collaborate with technical and change stakeholders to build scalable learning solutions that strengthen capability, reinforce expected behaviours, and support sustained implementation.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Develop audience-specific learning strategies that support enterprise-wide implementation across corporate, operational, manufacturing, retail, and functional teams.<br>• Create blended learning programs using instructor-led sessions, virtual delivery, eLearning modules, microlearning assets, videos, simulations, and scenario-based activities.<br>• Convert technical management system documentation into accessible, operationally relevant training materials that are easy for employees to apply in their roles.<br>• Produce supporting resources such as job aids, quick reference tools, facilitator guides, learner workbooks, toolkits, coaching materials, and frequently asked questions.<br>• Work closely with subject matter experts, management systems specialists, change professionals, communications partners, and operational leaders to confirm content accuracy and learning effectiveness.<br>• Publish and maintain training content using approved learning technologies while supporting learning assignments, platform administration, analytics, and completion tracking.<br>• Design reinforcement resources and learning journeys that help managers and employees embed new practices and sustain adoption over time.<br>• Evaluate program success through learner feedback, knowledge checks, adoption data, capability assessments, and reporting, then recommend enhancements based on findings.
<p>• Degree in Education, Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or a related field.</p><p>• 5-8 years of experience designing and developing workplace learning programs.</p><p>Proven experience designing enterprise learning programs for Service Desk or IT Operations environments</p><p>• Demonstrated background supporting large-scale business transformation or change initiatives.</p><p>• Experience building training for technical, operational, or management system-related subject matter.</p><p>• Strong communication, facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.</p><p>• Proficiency with eLearning and content development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Cloud, and learning management systems.</p><p>• Solid understanding of adult learning principles, curriculum design, and user-focused content development.</p><p>• Ability to manage multiple projects, interpret analytics, and continuously improve learning solutions based on measurable results.</p>
