We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in Burnaby, British Columbia. Responsibilities:• Manage accounts receivable by tracking recurring revenue, handling expired payment methods, and conducting collections calls with attention to detail.• Perform accounts payable tasks, including coding, matching, cheque processing, and credit card reconciliations.• Update and maintain cash reports and general ledger entries.• Utilize QuickBooks and Maximize systems for billing, reporting, and financial tracking.• Create and analyze Excel spreadsheets, including pivot tables and filters, for data management and reporting.• Support the implementation of QuickBooks Online and ensure smooth system transitions.• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and familiarity with QuickBooks Online.• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and creating pivot tables.• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.• Excellent communication skills, especially for interactions with high-profile clients.• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.• Familiarity with general ledger coding and reconciliation.
