Please read this Data Protection Notice (“Notice”) to continue. It sets out how and why Robert Half and SHL collect your personal information. Please read the entire Notice carefully. This Notice was last updated on December 6, 2023.
As part of the recruitment services Robert Half provides to you and in order to assess your qualifications, experiences and suitability for employment, Robert Half or its affiliates (hereinafter “Robert Half”) in the country you are seeking employment, might ask you to take one or more assessments provided by our selected service provider, SHL US LLC, 111 Washington Avenue S, Suite 600, Minneapolis MN 55401 (hereinafter “SHL”). In order to administer these assessments, Robert Half, as the data controller, will be required to process and share your first name, last name, email address, country and preferred language (collectively your “Personal Information”) with SHL (as our processor) in accordance with the restrictions imposed by law. SHL may also collect additional Personal Information directly from you to administer the assessments and prepare an assessment report. Taking an assessment is voluntary and your refusal to take an assessment provided by SHL will not negatively impact your job opportunities with Robert Half. If Robert Half is issuing the assessment on the request of the client as part of their onboarding process, Robert Half will inform the client of your refusal to take the assessment in which case the client will decide on the consequence of your refusal. SHL provides two different assessments on our behalf: General assessments. When taking these assessments SHL collects your answer to the assessment questions. Language assessments, which include audio assessments. When taking these assessments SHL collects an audio recording of yourself as you speak or respond to questions, a transcription of your audio responses into text format and your answers to the assessment questions. If you take an assessment that was created by Robert Half, the results of the assessment are expressed in a percentage you scored on the assessment. If you take an assessment that was created by SHL, a Benchmark score, which indicates how your score compares with others who have taken the same assessment, is added to your percentage.  Robert Half receives your assessment scores in the form of an assessment report. Robert Half does not use automated decision-making. Our recruitment consultants review your assessment results alongside other criteria, such as your qualifications and experiences, the requirements for the role, discussions they had with you and other relevant criteria to determine your suitability for the specific job opportunity. After you have taken the assessment, our consultants will discuss the results with you. You can request a copy of your assessment report at any time by contacting your Branch contact person. If you are not happy with the results of the assessment, you can ask Robert Half to re-take the assessment. If the assessment was issued upon the request of the client as part of its onboarding process, Robert Half will always provide your assessment results (both your percentage as the benchmark data) and/or the assessment report with the client. In all other cases, Robert Half will only do so if you have provided consent. If you have questions on the nature of the assessment issued to you, please contact your Branch contact person. You can ask Robert Half, at any time, to delete your assessment results by contacting your Branch contact person. Please note that, if you apply again after your assessment results have been deleted, you might be requested to re-take the assessment.
