  • <p>We are looking for a skilled Data Center Technician to join our <strong>Overnight </strong>team in Manassas, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring the seamless installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of data center equipment. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adept at troubleshooting network and hardware issues.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee the setup, installation, and decommissioning of servers, switches, routers, and other data center equipment.</p><p>• Coordinate material orders, delivery schedules, and trade activities to maintain installation quality.</p><p>• Develop and implement procedures for single-mode fiber optic installations.</p><p>• Monitor and address service requests and tickets daily using ServiceNow.</p><p>• Conduct troubleshooting and maintenance for network equipment and ensure proper connectivity.</p><p>• Extend circuits from demarcation points to client equipment and participate in troubleshooting calls.</p><p>• Install and test network cables, including copper and fiber optics, while adhering to labeling standards.</p><p>• Manage and document decommissioned devices, ensuring accurate tracking and storage.</p><p>• Create and update virtual databases to record device and connection information.</p><p>• Implement infrastructure updates, including new patch panel installations and adjustments.</p>
