This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong foundation in general ledger and month‑end close, paired with hands‑on experience in manufacturing cost accounting. The position plays a key role in analyzing production costs, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting reliable financial reporting.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Lead and support monthly close activities, including preparing close schedules, reviewing account balances, and ensuring accurate and timely completion.</li><li>Prepare, review, and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.</li><li>Perform detailed balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.</li><li>Complete bank reconciliations and research discrepancies between system records and actual activity.</li><li>Prepare monthly financial reports and provide clear explanations of financial and operational performance.</li><li>Analyze manufacturing costs, including labor, materials, overhead, and variances versus standard costs.</li><li>Maintain and update standard costs, including supporting annual cost roll‑ups and periodic adjustments.</li><li>Review and reconcile inventory accounts, including raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.</li><li>Partner with operations and production teams to understand cost drivers and support process improvements.</li><li>Assist with variance analysis related to production efficiency, scrap, yield, and absorption.</li><li>Support physical inventory counts and cycle counts, including reconciliation and reporting.</li><li>Ensure proper accounting treatment for inventory capitalization, overhead allocation, and production expenses.</li><li>Maintain accounting records in SAP Financials (or similar ERP) and support transaction accuracy and reporting integrity.</li><li>Assist with internal controls, process documentation, and audit support as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p>
