Responsibilities:• Evaluate newly issued contracts and grant awards, determine applicable funding sources, and communicate key financial impacts to finance leadership.• Review sponsor budgets for completeness, confirm eligible cost treatment, and maximize allowable indirect and administrative cost recovery before submission.• Partner with internal stakeholders to define reporting obligations, billing expectations, deliverables, and compliance requirements tied to each award.• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports to funders, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with sponsor guidelines.• Maintain detailed financial records for grant and contract activity, including budgets, revenue recognition, expenditures, and supporting documentation.• Monitor allocations and account coding to confirm spending is recorded to the correct cost centers and remains within approved budget parameters.• Track year-round budget performance, identify transactions that require reallocation, and coordinate adjustments with the appropriate teams.• Support the release of restricted revenue based on qualifying expenditures and obtain necessary approvals from budget owners.• Strengthen contract and grant operations by refining workflows, implementing internal controls, and reducing compliance risk.• Supervise assigned team members by providing training, performance feedback, and oversight while also supporting audit preparation related to grants, receivables, and single audit schedules. Responsibilities:• Direct the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to deliver timely, accurate results that meet company and regulatory expectations.• Produce financial statements, operational reports, and detailed variance reviews that support informed decision-making across the site.• Manage the integrity of the general ledger, account structure, and supporting financial records to ensure reliable reporting.• Lead cost accounting activities for machining and assembly operations, including standard costing, job costing, and analysis of cost of goods sold.• Evaluate production performance by reviewing labor usage, scrap trends, overhead recovery, and other key manufacturing cost drivers.• Work closely with operations and program leaders to assess program profitability, monitor margins, and identify opportunities to improve financial performance.• Guide the financial aspects of customer, supplier, subcontractor, lease, and service agreements, supporting review, negotiation, and execution with a focus on business value and risk management.• Own the annual budget and rolling forecast process for the Everett, Washington site, including scenario modeling, long-range planning, and monitoring of cash flow and working capital.• Maintain strong financial controls across purchasing, inventory, payroll, and transaction processing while coordinating internal and external audit support.• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, while coaching accounting staff and promoting a high-performance, values-driven team environment.
