Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations. Assist with the month-end close process, including reviewing transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial data. Maintain general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed. Support the accounting team with daily accounting activities and other duties as assigned. Qualifications 0+ years of accounting experience. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Experience with bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and month-end close is preferred. Familiarity with Sage 100 is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Ability to work independently while collaborating with the accounting team. Additional Details Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch. Work Arrangement: Onsite. Staff Accountant Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a contract opportunity with a fast-growing mid-sized company. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will report to the Accounting Manager, and you will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in SOX compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the 10Q and 10K reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
