<p>We are seeking a hands-on and responsive Desktop Support Technician with experience supporting IT infrastructure in the oil and gas industry. This position provides frontline technical support to employees working in both corporate and field environments, including remote drilling sites, refineries, and operational facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring reliable access to business-critical applications, SCADA terminals, and communications systems in high-uptime environments.</p><ul><li>Deliver Tier 1 and Tier 2 desktop support for Windows-based laptops, desktops, rugged devices, and peripheral equipment across office and field locations.</li><li>Support industry-specific software platforms such as Petrel, Landmark, AutoCAD, PI System, SCADA, and geological/geophysical modeling tools.</li><li>Manage user accounts, profiles, and group policies in Active Directory, and troubleshoot VPN access, remote desktop connectivity, and secure network connections for field users.</li><li>Configure and support communications infrastructure including VSAT, LTE routers, satellite phones, and mobile hotspots used in remote drilling and production environments.</li><li>Work alongside field engineers and site supervisors to support control room systems and HMI workstations connected to production monitoring tools.</li><li>Deploy hardware and provide break/fix support, system imaging, and software updates in accordance with corporate IT standards and cybersecurity protocols.</li><li>Document issues, resolutions, and IT procedures in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira.</li><li>Maintain compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards when operating in hazardous or remote areas.</li><li>Participate in after-hours support rotation for critical operations, especially during production rollouts, rig moves, or shutdowns.</li></ul>
