- <p>We are looking for an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to support financial operations for a long-term contract engagement based in Chicago, Illinois. This role is well suited for a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can oversee core accounting activities, maintain accurate financial reporting, and partner with stakeholders to keep processes running smoothly. The role will support internal and external financial reporting, cash management, and cash flow forecasting. The position is primarily remote, with approximately one day per week in the office for candidates located in the Chicago area.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Lead day-to-day finance and accounting activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.</p><p>• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to maintain reporting integrity.</p><p>• Manage month-end and year-end close activities, coordinating deadlines and resolving discrepancies across accounts.</p><p>• Monitor general ledger activity and strengthen accounting controls to promote compliance with internal standards and established policies.</p><p>• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to provide financial insight, support planning efforts, and address operational questions.</p><p>• Evaluate existing accounting workflows and recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reporting accuracy.</p><p>• Support audits and other financial reviews by organizing documentation, answering inquiries, and ensuring readiness for requests.</p>
