Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Review, draft, and negotiate vendor and procurement agreements, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, SOWs, order forms, and renewals against established contracting positions and playbooks. </li><li>Review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) and related privacy and security provisions, particularly in agreements with technology and SaaS vendors. </li><li>Negotiate AI-related contractual provisions involving use restrictions, data rights, model training, and evolving regulatory considerations. </li><li>Evaluate legal and commercial risks in proposed contractual terms and recommend practical, business-oriented mitigations. </li><li>Independently manage an active contract queue and prioritize competing requests to move agreements toward signature efficiently. </li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Procurement, Security, Privacy, and business stakeholders to resolve contractual issues and facilitate execution. </li></ul>

A nonprofit legal services organization based in San Rafael, CA is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its growing immigration practice on a contract-to-hire basis. This attorney will provide direct immigration legal services to underserved members of the local community while supporting the continued development of a community-based immigration services program. The organization has the bandwidth to provide training and mentorship, making this an excellent opportunity for a recently barred, mission-driven attorney who gained substantive immigration experience through prior legal work, clinics, internships, externships, or similar settings and is committed to developing a career in immigration law and public-interest legal services. Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide immigration legal services to low-income and underserved immigrant community members.</li><li>Conduct client interviews, factual analysis, legal research, and case assessment.</li><li>Support immigration legal matters through client consultation, legal research, case assessment, and other substantive immigration work based on client and community needs.</li><li>Support matters involving immigration proceedings, including removal-related matters.</li><li>Participate in community-based outreach, intake, legal education, and clinic events.</li><li>Spend one onsite day per week providing services at a community partner location in Novato.</li><li>Work collaboratively with supervising attorneys, legal staff, community partners, volunteers, and interns to deliver high-quality client services.</li><li>Assist with the continued development and implementation of the organization's immigration legal services program.</li><li>Maintain accurate case and client records and provide information necessary for program, grant, and organizational reporting.</li><li>Participate in relevant training, professional development, community events, and immigration-related programming.</li></ul>
