As a key contributor, you’ll work closely with leadership and play an instrumental role in ensuring seamless financial operations. About the RoleAs the Senior Accountant, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions, including general ledger management, financial reconciliations, and month-end close processes. Supporting the VP of Finance & Accounting, you will influence key decision-making and occasionally act as a point of contact for the Executive Leadership Team during their absence. You’ll need a keen eye for precision, an aptitude for data analysis, and a strong commitment to process improvement and compliance. What You’ll DoYour core responsibilities will include:<ul><li>Managing general ledger activities and ensuring proper reconciliation and accuracy in line with established accounting standards (GAAP).</li><li>Driving the month-end close process to deliver timely and accurate reporting.</li><li>Preparing trial balances, performing detailed account reconciliations, and reporting any discrepancies or variances.</li><li>Reviewing and processing essential transaction entries and journal entries, including EOY adjustments from external auditors.</li><li>Serving as a liaison for accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) to resolve issues, analyze variances, and provide transactional support.</li><li>Supporting financial planning activities such as the annual budgeting process and year-end financial reviews.</li><li>Reviewing time card submissions while ensuring internal processes and procedures are followed.</li><li>Assisting with specialized accounting projects related to operations, including harvest accounting.</li><li>Developing and documenting internal processes and policies while maintaining robust internal controls.</li><li>Performing additional accounting and finance duties as assigned.</li></ul>
