We are looking for a Project Accountant to support the financial management of real estate development and construction projects in Dallas, Texas. This role will oversee project-related accounting activities, help maintain accurate records, and contribute to timely reporting across multiple active developments. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with draw administration, payables and receivables, and general ledger activity within a project-driven environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of construction draw packages, making sure all requests align with lender requirements and scheduled deadlines.<br>• Partner with project managers, contractors, and leadership to gather supporting documentation and keep funding requests moving efficiently.<br>• Reconcile draw activity and help ensure funds are applied accurately to the appropriate development and construction costs.<br>• Maintain project-level financial records and assist with recurring reporting, including budget-to-actual tracking and period-end summaries.<br>• Manage invoice processing and payment coordination for vendors, subcontractors, and other project-related partners.<br>• Monitor incoming payments and reconcile outstanding receivables involving tenants, partners, or other stakeholders tied to development activity.<br>• Prepare and record journal entries while supporting the accuracy of the general ledger across multiple cost categories.<br>• Use accounting systems such as Intacct or similar platforms to enter transactions, track project costs, and generate financial reports.<br>• Organize contracts, draw files, and accounting documentation while helping ensure compliance with company standards and applicable accounting practices.<br>• Work closely with development, construction, operations, and finance teams to resolve accounting questions and support informed project decisions.
