We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Sanford, Florida. This Contract to permanent opportunity offers an exciting chance to support construction accounting processes and ensure financial accuracy across various projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project milestones, financial compliance, and accounting systems. Responsibilities: • Coordinate with project managers to confirm milestone completion and ensure accurate financial reporting. • Prepare and submit owner draw packages while reviewing disbursements for compliance with financial and contractual regulations. • Track receivables, manage collections, and reconcile accounts receivable ledgers to ensure timely cash inflow. • Review aging reports to identify overdue accounts, resolve discrepancies, and implement collection strategies. • Process accounts receivable transactions, including approvals for adjustments or write-offs as needed. • Verify lien waivers, insurance certificates, and other compliance documents for vendors and subcontractors. • Process invoices for suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all costs are accurately captured. • Reconcile accounts payable balances to vendor statements promptly after month-end and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with project managers to review timelines, financial milestones, and address any issues. • Ensure timely payments to vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors while maintaining financial accuracy.
