We are looking for a skilled Litigation Paralegal to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting attorneys with civil litigation matters, legal research, and case preparation. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in legal procedures and a commitment to excellence in the field of law. Responsibilities: • Draft and prepare various legal documents, including briefs, motions to dismiss, and motions to change venue. • Issue subpoenas and manage the process of obtaining necessary legal documents. • Prepare and file summons and other court-related paperwork. • Conduct in-depth legal research, utilizing CaseLaw and other resources specific to the jurisdiction. • Collaborate with attorneys to organize and manage discovery processes. • Assist with bankruptcy filings and creditor-related cases, ensuring adherence to legal standards. • Support litigation efforts involving residential real estate and mortgage lending matters. • Manage court filings and ensure that all documentation is submitted accurately and on time. • Maintain close communication with legal teams to ensure seamless case management.
