Responsibilities: • Create and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policy documentation, and operating procedures that support consistent data practices across the organization. • Partner with data stewards and business stakeholders to roll out governance processes covering metadata, cataloging, data quality, privacy, and policy adoption. • Work closely with technology teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize governance platforms and supporting data management tools. • Review datasets and data definitions to detect quality concerns, resolve inconsistencies, and strengthen trust in institutional information. • Build governance structures and decision-making forums that address cross-functional dependencies, escalate issues, and reinforce compliance expectations. • Lead governance councils, working groups, and project teams to coordinate initiatives, assign ownership, and drive alignment on shared data priorities. • Develop and execute short- and long-range data governance plans that support organizational goals and sustainable program maturity. • Monitor adherence to governance policies and promote the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data assets throughout the enterprise.
