This position is responsible for monitoring, managing, and enhancing Microsoft security technologies while leading incident detection, response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management efforts. The role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the organization's security posture while collaborating with technical and business teams across the enterprise.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor security alerts, logs, dashboards, and telemetry across Microsoft security platforms to identify and respond to potential threats.</li><li>Manage, configure, and optimize Microsoft Defender security controls across enterprise environments.</li><li>Administer and enhance data protection and compliance capabilities using Microsoft Purview, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and eDiscovery solutions.</li><li>Develop, tune, and maintain custom detection rules, analytics, and alerting mechanisms to improve threat visibility.</li><li>Serve as a primary responder for cybersecurity incidents involving malware, ransomware, endpoint compromises, and related threats.</li><li>Conduct forensic investigations, root cause analyses, and post-incident reviews to strengthen security controls and reduce future risk.</li><li>Perform proactive threat hunting activities utilizing Microsoft Defender XDR and other security monitoring tools.</li><li>Analyze threat intelligence and emerging attack trends to identify risks relevant to the organization.</li><li>Track, prioritize, and support remediation efforts for software vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.</li><li>Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement security best practices, hardening standards, and risk reduction initiatives.</li><li>Prepare reports and metrics related to incident response, platform effectiveness, vulnerabilities, and overall security posture.</li><li>Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and help promote a culture of security across the organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p><ul><li>Work model: Primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration as needed</li><li>Up to 10% domestic travel may be required</li><li>Opportunity to contribute directly to security strategy, operations, and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul>

The person in this role will work across desktop support, Microsoft 365 administration, device setup, and application support while contributing to a secure and responsive IT environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Deliver first-line technical support for staff by diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, software, and workplace technology.<br>• Investigate and fix problems involving Microsoft 365, Windows systems, mobile devices, printers, connectivity, and telecom tools.<br>• Administer user access by creating, updating, and securing accounts, passwords, and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID.<br>• Prepare, deploy, track, and maintain computers and other IT equipment to support daily business operations.<br>• Assist employees with enterprise applications, including EHR platforms and other business-critical systems.<br>• Support onboarding and offboarding activities by setting up or removing technology access and guiding users through required tools and processes.<br>• Record support activity thoroughly in the ticketing system and route more complex issues to the appropriate technical teams when needed.<br>• Help uphold cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance expectations by following established IT and information security practices.
