This role is responsible for maintaining server, virtualization, identity, database, and application-hosting technologies while helping ensure systems remain secure, reliable, and available for both internal teams and external customers.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, automation, infrastructure improvement, and working across a broad range of technologies.</p><p><br></p><p>What You'll Be Doing</p><ul><li>Administer and support Windows Server environments across production and non-production systems</li><li>Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, user access, and identity-related services</li><li>Support Microsoft SQL Server environments, including maintenance, backups, and recovery processes</li><li>Configure and maintain virtualization platforms such as VMware, Citrix, and Remote Desktop Services</li><li>Support web and application hosting technologies including IIS, Tomcat, and related services</li><li>Monitor system performance, availability, and security while proactively addressing issues</li><li>Develop and maintain automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell and other tools</li><li>Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network-related problems</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation and assist with incident response when needed</li></ul><p><br></p>

- <p>Robert Half is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to support and maintain a complex mix of Linux, Windows, virtualization, cloud, and application environments. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a broad technology stack, solving challenging infrastructure issues, and partnering directly with both internal stakeholders and external customers.</p><p><br></p><p>You'll play a key role in system administration, automation, application support, security, performance optimization, and infrastructure projects while helping ensure highly available and secure business-critical environments.</p><p><br></p><p>What You'll Do</p><ul><li>Administer and support Linux and Windows server environments, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.</li><li>Manage core infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Group Policy, IIS, DNS, and related technologies.</li><li>Support business applications and the underlying infrastructure required to keep them running efficiently.</li><li>Maintain and troubleshoot virtualized environments, including VMware and similar platforms.</li><li>Assist with cloud-based infrastructure across Azure, AWS, and other public cloud environments.</li><li>Develop and maintain automation using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or Terraform.</li><li>Monitor system health, performance, and capacity while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.</li><li>Partner with security teams to implement system hardening, vulnerability remediation, access controls, and patch management best practices.</li><li>Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes for critical systems and applications.</li><li>Troubleshoot networking and application connectivity issues involving DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP/IP.</li><li>Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, onboarding efforts, and technology modernization initiatives.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.</li><li>Serve as a senior technical resource during incidents, projects, and customer-facing engagements.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation supporting production systems as needed.</li></ul><p><br></p>
