Responsibilities- General accounting and administration assistance: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Rectify transaction documents, which may involve alteration of other documents or entries as well as the original; may initiate other actions- Transmit financial information to journals, registers, and ledgers, manually or by electronic equipment- Support Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit- Assemble documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources- Help with control of budgets by monitoring budgets and originating or verifying adjustments and transfers- Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing- Harmonize discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.
